Frzamilan and I played tonite:
chain's Titans 38 Frzamilan's Broncos 14
The score doesn't really tell the story of the game. It was a hard fought battle with frz's D picking up a total of 5 turnovers (1 Int, 4 Fum). My defense also played well with 10 total sacks and 3 Int (1 for a Td).

God I can't stand that. I'm more of a simulation guy myself. And If I run through half the season and most of you are the "It's 4th and 13 on my 40 and I'm going for the first instead of punting in the first qtr" I'll save myself the hassle and quit right now.

Only 3 leagues this year. No sense in rooting for everyone in the NFL.

I won't quit but it does annoy me. I like to smiulate the game also and going for every fourth down but maybe one or two in a game (a game where you only scored 17 points) is ridiculous. If he would have punted it away he could have won. I had a short field almost every time.
uh zimm the only 4th down(s) i went for that was longer than 4 yards was when i was down in the 4th of our first game. second game i went on 4th 3 times, all within 4 yards

zimm you ran out of the same formation 95% of the time on both offense and defense. i dont think thats exactly simulating the game. not to mention you went for two fourth down conversions in our games from 3-4 yards when you were leading / tied and within FG range.

Heh, yea. I actually ran out of three formations most of the game. I ran out of I, Strong I, and Weak I. I also ran out if Singleback some. Also, when I said that I was not aiming it specifically at you. A lot of your fourth downs were when you were either behind or it was fourth and like 3 or 4 yards. The two I went for were like fourth and inches or fourth and one and I was on your territory. I should have kicked FGs but I can't kick worth a flip. When I said that I basically meant that I don't like playing with people that go for fourth and 13 and two points when they really shouldn't. You punted when it was longer than fourth and 5 or maybe six. But against my D you really had no point in punting...
Confirming the score of Chaindogs game with me from way earlier in this thread. (38-14)
Seems the Broncos like to turn the ball over a lotl at home. I can count 9 turnovers in the two games I have played this season.
But like Chaindog said, the game was pretty tight up until the third quarter where it just started to get out of hand.
Stats are as follows:
QB Jake Plummer -- 7 for 25 125 yards 1 TD and 4 INTs
RB Clinton Portis -- 12 Attempts for 105 yards, 1TD and 2 Fumbles
Once again, no receiver to write home about
Chaindog played excellent d, and seemed to find the clutch guy everytime I put him into a bind on offense.
In regards to the conversation about playing the game as close to simulation as possible, I would just like to say I am all for this. I haven't played anyone (in this season) who hasn't adhered to this for the most part, and I hope I don't have to.
