Honolulu, HI (Sports Network) - Tennessee Titans quarterback Jason Gesser was arrested and charged early Sunday morning on suspicion of driving drunk.
Gesser allegedly ran a red light and failed a field sobriety test at 4:55 a.m., getting pulled over after making a left turn with his right-turn indicator on at an intersection.
The 24-year-old Honolulu native was released from downtown police headquarters after posting $500 bail.
Gesser signed with the Titans as an undrafted free agent last April, following a season after which he shared the 2002 Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year honor with Southern California quarterback Carson Palmer.
Gesser is the third-string signal caller in Tennessee, backing up the NFL's co-MVP, Steve McNair, and Billy Volek.
