New York, NY (Sports Network) - The National Football League has filed a $500,000 lawsuit against Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Orlando Brown.
The league claims that Brown owes them money because he returned to play after receiving a multi-million dollar injury settlement.
Brown participated for the Ravens last season after being forced out of football in December of 1999 with an eye injury. He sustained the injury when he was hit by a referee's penalty flag while playing for Cleveland.
According to the terms of the settlement, Brown agreed to pay back the money if he returned to the NFL. However, he has yet to comply.
