Non-Sports PS2 Games

Postby AF » Thu Feb 19, 2004 3:28 pm

I know most of the talk here is naturaly going to be mostly about Madden and what not but I thought I would add this anyhow. If any of you are into platform games or are looking for a good platform game (Mario-like games) I highly suggest Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Both are quality games. The fighting in PoP isn't the greatest but the puzzle aspect of the game makes it alot of fun and the graphics are sweet. R+C is a great game all around, great graphics, great story, great fighting and great challenge.

Anybody else have any non-spots titles they like?

I have SOCOM, never really got into it that much to be honest with you. I really liked the Metal Gear series so I thought I would give SOCOM a shot but the whole team thing while trying to go stealth can get to be a pain in the arse. I played Splinter Cell for a little bit on the XBox at a friends place and that game I think did a better job with the team controls.

I might have to try Ratchet and Clank and that Prince of Persia game, it looks kinda fun. I gotta say, one of my favorite games ever is Max Payne. I haven't played the sequel yet, but i plan on buying it in the future. the original had the best story line ive ever seen. It was a fairly easy game, but it was so much fun. the bullet time was really cool, and while playing it made me feel like i was in a movie. i highly recommend it if any of you haven't played it.

Sly Cooper and the Theivious Raccoonus is a nice title.

Soul CaliberII.

THPS series (arguably not a sports title per se).

Let's see...

Metal Gear Solid: Twin something or other...
Grand Theft Auto III
Gran Turismo 4: A-Spec (?)

Tekken 2
Resident Evil 2
Final Fantasy Anthology
Final Fantasy Chronicles
Final Fantasy VII
Einhander
