The running back who won a challenge to the NFL's draft system announced he would skip Friday's workouts at the scouting combine because he wanted more time to train after missing all of last season due to of a suspension.
Why would he do this? Does he think it will help him get drafted higher or what? Here is the article.
I think the reason that he didnt workout was he showed up fat and out of shape we weighed in around 245 and he is not a power back. At least he or his agent is smart enough to know that if he ran drills at that size he would look slow and he would become easily winded hurting his draft status

He certainly isn't a Lebron James type player...he already doesn't act like he is serious about a career and that he wants to be shown the money. I really hope no one pulls a Buffalo on this guy...he doesn't deserve to be drafted until the third round or late second at the earliest!!!

If the NFL wants to show why sophs and frosh aren't ready for the bigs, Clarrett is a poster boy. Too immature and stupid to keep in shape, then embarrass himself by saying, in effect, 'my mommy won't let me play in the combines' Very disappointing, I had high hopes for him. There are only a few people blessed with the ability to compete with the pros at such an early age. They deserve the chance and Clarrett is making it harder for them. If he does get into shape he could be a 5 round + steal.
Ultimately, what can one expect from a Buckeye.

So where do you all think he'll go in the draft? I'm thinking early to mid third round.
Dude is in trouble when he first sees playing time. Jeez, every defensive player in the league would love to clean this guy's clock. Looking forward to it!

...Someone will take him too early. He played one injury-plagued season at Ohio. He looked good when he was playing, but he's taken a year off and is now out of shape - not to mention everything I've read about him makes me think he is a complete moron. I think that a mid third round pick would be a little high if I were a GM, but someone is bound to think highly enough of him to take the risk (McGahee as a first rounder? ).
Drew Henson has only played in 8 games, already has plenty of money and a lack of incentive to try and improve, etc. and is being projected as high as a first round pick in some mocks, though...

Yeah, the Packers and Bills are high on Henson as possible successors to Favre or Bledsoe. Don't think the Bills would surrender their first-round pick, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see the pack give up their late 1st pick to aquire Henson. The guy needs at least a full year, and probably two, to reacclimate himself to football in general, and the NFL in particular. Still shows all the signs that would have made him a first round prospect out of college.
