more ps2 troubleshoot

when i turn on my ps2 and hit the reset button to turn it on, the green light will just blink half the time and the system wont start. Anybody have any idea what is going wrong and any ideas on how i could fix it..

whenever it does get started, it will just go to the madden page showing vick and say loading, and it wont work...

no clue but if youre persistant with google you could prolly get a good idea..
