Fantasy Video Games

Postby SeaWolf » Sun Feb 22, 2004 12:25 am

My wife and I recently bought a Gamecube for our son. I was looking into getting a fantasy game for me to play. My question is what are the best fantasy games for Gamecube? What I mean by fantasy is like Lord of the Rings type of games(elves, swords, magic, ect). I've heard of Final Fantasy, but thats all that I know of.

Heh, when I saw the title I was thinking fantasy football using Madden or something :p.

I don't have a gamecube so I don't know the full extent of things, but I believe Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is out on it. I had a blast playing it on the PS2, and it's a LoTR type thing. The real kicker is that you can probably pick it up for about 10 bucks.

For what I know Balders gate DA II is the best and easy to use right now. There is also a Dungeons and Dragoens Hero's that is really good. I don't own the cube but if you can get these they are worth it

Kinda cartoon-like but Zelda is a good game.

I have a GameCube and I have these games, and thought they were pretty decent based on the amount of time I played them (bah, I waste my money by buying stuff and never using it).

Eternal Darkness
Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Mario Kart
Resident Evil
Super Mario Sunshine

Anyway, the website awwchrist mentioned should help a lot. I'm kind of useless with this stuff because I haven't really followed videogames with much enthusiasm since the Super Nintendo days...

I've check out that web site. I like it.
I had been at the family cabin, in the mountains, and there is a Nintendo (not Super or 64, just Nintendo) that used to be mine. I got hooked on one of my old games, and now I want to find a game that's similar.
