Washington's offensive line sucks. The addition of Joe Gibbs, Joe Bugel and the rest of Gibbs' staff isn't going to do much to change that.
If this deal goes through, where do you pre-rank Clinton Portis for next year's fantasy draft? He drops out of my top 5 for sure; I gotta rank Priest, LT, Jamal Lewis, Shaun Alexander and Deuce McAllister ahead of Portis.
If this happens, i'll be pretty mad. He's my #1 RB and I don't want to see his numbers drop. With that said, I still think he is a stud and will remain in the top 5.
Drops out of the top 5 for sure.....I'm thinking down to 7 or 8, maybe even 9. Is it Devner that makes the RBs? Just look at Gary in Detroit....you have to figure he will struggle a bit in Washington.
I agree - running is as much the talent of the back as is the O-Line, unless you're Barry Sanders... Portis would have to go out of the top five for fear of decreased production.

Basically ya'll are saying the Denver line made Clinton and he doesn't have the ability to make plays himself? I think that's crazy. This kid special, I think he'll do well in Washington if the trade comes off.

That's not what anyone said - what we DID say was that his production would fall some due to the OL not being as good. A porsche is still a porsche whether it's driving down an open highway or through a brick wall. I'd just rather have the one going down the open highway.
