is it possible?

Does anyone else have there conspiracy theory brains going? Is it possible that SF will drop Garcia instead of TO. Rattay to Garcia with Barlow in the backfield.

Also, this whole RBBC thing has me concerned for FF. It is a very good thing for football though. I really think it is possible that within a few years most if not all teams will have to starting rb's, paying each 2-5 million. Durability, salary being the two biggest reasons.

As a football fan I love watching Portis get 180 and 3 td's. But Bennett and Smith combining for 200 and 3 td's is fine by me as well.

Shut you're pie hole! RBBC is the death of RB's being the cornerstone of any good FF team. I don't necessarily disagree with your comment. I just like saying shut you're pie hole.

I think it is more a product of necessity. I think teams would much rather have a go to guy, but with injuries and the incredible lack of true stud talent at the position, RBBC was born.

If the trend continues though, WR studs could move up the popularity charts for FF owners.

other that the cleveland browns of mack and byner, have there every been two worthwhile fantasy backs for an entire season on the same team?

if the vikes keep both smith and bennett, more that likely that destroys both of their values.

the ONLY other time i can think of a pair of backs for the same team having value is with the second back as a pass catcher or td stealer

What about Dunn and Duckett last year? Duckett scored TD's and Dunn got yards and some TD's.

i guess they had a few weeks where they were both good together.....

like i said, "the ONLY other time i can think of a pair of backs for the same team having value is with the second back as a pass catcher or td stealer".

but in that case, one is usually the front line guy and the second is nothing more than a bye fill in. a few years back, richie anderson caught a lot of passes and had some value like that. larry centers has filled that role from time to time.

I started saying that about RB's a couple yrs back. The only thing that will stop it becoming the norm is when talent like Holmes, LT, Portis etc etc mean that a team cannot justify NOT playing their stud back. So yes I think RBBC will become more common, but there will always be a handful of studs that wont share.

The possibility exists.

Rudi/Dillon
Bennett/Smith
Westbrook/Buckhalter
Davis/Foster
Tiki/Dayne
Ahman/Davenport

Coughlin is an idiot if he thinks Dayne is worth anything. He should have kept Levens instead.
