Cowboys Want Staley...

Cowboys insiders say Parcells is interested in Staley because of his ability to excel on third and short as a runner or a receiver.

Cowboys Set Sights on Staley

This isn't anything truly outstanding, as most people thought Dallas was among the teams interested, anyway. However, at least it's something else to talk about aside from Clinton Portis, Champ Bailey, and Jamal Lewis...

If Parcells signs Staley then draft someone like Michael Turner in the 2nd round or Tatum Bell in the 3rd, that would be good for their team but not good for Fantasy Football. Sounds like the formula for RBBC. I thought Parcells liked to use Richie Anderson for the 3rd down and short yardage back. If he wants a third down back I'd go with Charlie Garner intead. He can take it to the house everytime he touches the ball.

This is going to be a great offseason of free agents and a great draft.

Well this sounds good to me I drafted Staley in a dynasty league.

Parcells has never really been a RBBC kind of coach and I dont think Staley will go anywhere that he will be in the same situation as he is in with the Eagles.

the big knock on staley to me is that he has only rushed for 1000 yards once in the last four years and is coming up quick on 30.

the wheels have lost a lot of tread.

i am guessing though that parcels wants to win now, and putting staley in the backfield, then taking a shot on a back in the 3-4th round, might be a good thing to do.

the question is, how much gas is in staley's tank?

I think Staley's good for a couple years yet. He hasn't exactly been over used in his career. Dallas would be a great spot for any RB. I would love to see Duce there just to have more fantasy value. I hope the Cowboys don't draft Tatum Bell, though, he has great break-away speed and could be the best back in the draft.
