I've been reading a lot of "insider reports" that has some Cinci officials saying there is little to no interest in Dillon at this point and they're making the necessary plans in case he is on their roster in '04. However, they'd be stupid not to at least make plans for that sort of thing.
I've read that Dennis Green likes Corey Dillon and "needs a thousand yard rusher to make his offense work." He already has Marcel Shipp, but Dennis Green has proven that he knows what he's doing on offense in the past...

Hmm...that would work out well for Pitt, and stir up some controversy in the AFC North. It makes sense...I wonder why we haven't heard more about Pitt in the race for a FA RB?
'Twas a fun year, fellas.

I don't think Pittsburgh has a lot of money to move around.
Also, I wouldn't discount Dallas from being interested in Dillon. They need a RB and if they can't sign a decent one through free agency, they'll probably trade for Dillon (it looks like he can be had for cheap).

What about Denver? If the Portis-Baily Trade goes through, isn't Denver gonna get a 2nd round pick as well? I thought I heard all Cincy was wanting was a 2nd rounder for Dillon. If Denver came away with Baily and then traded the pick for Dillon, Denver would come out smelling like a rose.
Just thinking out loud. I have Dillon in the same dynasty league that Gambini has Rudi.

That would work out nicely for them wouldn't it? Effectively trading Portis for Bailey and Dillon. I think throwing in the 2nd rounder was a bit much since good CBs are harder to come by than good RBs...

I think it's because so many folks see Pittsburgh looking at RB in the upcoming draft, and that idea does make sense. I'm sure they'll be exploring all options, though...
I'd love to see him go to Denver for a 2nd rounder. I don't see Pittsburg being an option. I don't think they would like the idea of trading him to a division rival, making them better. I still think a deal will eventually get done. Right now, teams won't openly express interest, because they want to devalue him to try and get him for cheap. I believe it will be between Oakland, Tampa Bay, or Denver.
