Ok, here's what I don't understand. The Broncos didn't want to pony up the cash to pay Portis, but they'll give a cornerback $13 million more than they would have had to pay him. I don't know what their logic was. Seems kinda strange to me.

The logic is fairly simple. The Broncos feel as though they can plug anyone in at RB and be fine. They don't however, feel they can get over the hump w/out a shut down corner, ala Champ Bailey.

Who will the Broncos use as there RB next year?
I think this ruins Portis' fantay Value next year!
I won't be picking him if I have a top 5 pick.

I wouldn't mind taking him... ;-D

Washington's offensive line has good players on it - they just played in a debacle of an offense that Spurrier dreamed of.

Anyway, I could see the Broncos trading for Corey Dillon...

The reason I said this is because Denver is a Team that likes to run the Football and Running backs always seam to be successful on Denver. I would Still take Portis. Just Not top 5! (of course. too early to decide now)
