thats a good signing as sort of a stop gap player. he's only got 2 or 3 years left though so obviously he sint the long term answer. good signing though for the Raiders. I think it was a mistake for the Pats to let him go unless they got one hell of a back up plan.

He wanted a ton of money; he thought it was his last time to get a big payday, so he went to a dead-end place.

Why are you surprised that the Patriots would be careful about how they spend their money? They budget a player a certain amount, and if he won't sign for that, they don't sign him.

It's worked.

More like a bandaid. I think a finger would last longer than Big Ted might.

hey watch your mouth. we suffered from a freakishly weird injury riddled year but we are by no means a dead end place. matter of fact new england wishes they were half the franchise the raiders are. well be back next year so look out for us in the playoffs. and don't count on the refs getting you to the superbowl every year either.

if it's not a "dead end place", then would it be more sufficient to call it a Geriatric's Haven? either way...it seems to be where the old players go to finish their careers and the young ones don't want to be.... :-)

DO you honestly believe the Raiders will compete this year?

And, I guarantee you that no New England fans would wish for the Raiders franchise--let alone half of it.

And, yes, there is most certainly a conspiracy for the Patriots. We get all the calls. Right. And the refs made Oakland sign all old players.
