Winfield Snubs Jets, Visits Minnesota

SportsLine.com has learned that CB Antoine Winfield has boarded a private jet and headed to Minnesota to meet with the Vikings rather than remain in New York to finalize a contract with the New York Jets.

I guess there is a little trouble in paradise for the Jets. If Windfield snubs the Jets and signs some where else they might have a big time problem stopping the pass next year. Which really isnt ta good thing in a division vs. the Pats and a Mike Mularky coached Bills team.

ummm...they need to work on stopping the run first. most teams dont even get to really try their passing game vs NYJ. releasing two of their top LBs isn't helping the Jets' cause much either.

Great news for you Purple Faithful. Looks like Red is willing to actually use that cap room. You might want to give the guy a break, he did secure long term contracts for Culpepper and Moss for you in the last few years, and that was by no means cheap. Great signing for the Vikes.
