Chiefs sign reserve TE

Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Chiefs and reserve tight end Billy Baber agreed to terms Thursday on a one-year contract.

Baber, entering his fourth NFL season, has appeared in 29 games for the Chiefs, including two starts. Originally selected in the fifth round of the 2001 NFL Draft, Baber is mostly known for his solid special teams contributions.

The Virginia product has recorded three receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown in his career.

Why do they keep picking up TEs, they have the best TE, one of the best backups, they pick one up here, and they spend a 2nd round pick on one.

They were resigning him...and Wilson isnt solely a TE.....Baber has been our #3 TE since 2001...not a bad guy to have around and pay him the league minimum lol
