Santa Clara, CA (Sports Network) - The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms with defensive end John Engelberger on a three-year contract.
Engelberger started all 16 games last season and posted a career-high 4 1/2 sacks. He has started 43 of the 62 games he has played for San Francisco since being the club's second-round pick of the 2000 draft, and has 111 career tackles with 11 1/2 sacks.
The Niners also agreed to terms of a six-year deal with long snapper Brian Jennings.
San Francisco made big news earlier Thursday by trading wide receiver Terrell Owens to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2004 draft.
