The New York Giants send Kerry Collins and the #4 overall draft pick to the San Diego Chargers for the #1 overall draft pick?

I've read about this on various message boards and was wondering if any San Diego locals have heard anything about this? This deal doesn't make sense to me if it has some validity going for it. A QB comparable (if not better) than Kerry Collins can be had in free agency (Jeff Garcia) or for a lower pick (second rounder for Jon Kitna?) - if they even go after another QB at all (Drew Brees and Doug Flutie on the roster). AND, they have to go down a few draft spots? Bah... Doesn't make sense to me.
