Steelers huge free agent signing!

Well, now that I've got you that far...Steelers have signed punter Christ Gardocki to a 5-year, $6.5 million contract.

That was cruel of me. :-) Thumbs up to the Steelers for nailing down that elusive long term punter contract. ;-7

This immediately makes them a Super Bowl contender.

Well you never know. Our special teams are now good, now just to get a QB, RB, and CB, then we will be contenders ;-D

The past 3 seasons the steelers have lacked majorily in ST. We have had the same main guys playing and have been big disappointments at times and STs has lost us many games before. I think they want to make a signifiacant change and bring in a field postion guy, and miller has been struggling as of late. Remember, they arent done, they will still attack the other positions, they are just trying to fix a problem on ST first ;-D

I never really thought I would say this, but I really wish the Vikes would have gotten him. Our punter was terrible last year, contributing botched snaps and terrible punts to some losses last year including against Arizona, Chicago, and Oakland. We really need to bring in a punter and Gardocki is not bad at all.
