Cleveland Plain Dealer wrote:Failing to find a trade partner for White, the Browns released the third-down specialist rather than pay him a $350,000 roster bonus.
White, 26, entered last season with a new, four-year contract that was supposed to help him accept his part-time role in the offense. It turned out the Browns paid him $1.75 million in salary and bonuses in 2003 for 569 total yards rushing and receiving and two touchdowns.
White now can negotiate a new deal with teams. Tampa Bay, Oakland, Arizona, Detroit and Pittsburgh expressed interest.

I always thought he was underused in Cleveland. He could be valuable to a team looking for someone who can fill a Kevin Faulk type role.
