Davie, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Dolphins Sunday re-signed veteran safety Shawn Wooden to a one-year contract. Financial terms were not released.
The 30-year-old Wooden appeared in 15 games for Miami in 2003 and tied for third on the team with 12 special teams tackles.
Wooden was a sixth-round draft choice of the Dolphins in 1996 and has spent seven of his first eight NFL seasons with Miami. He played for the Chicago Bears in 2000.
In 104 career games, including 35 starts, Wooden has totaled 331 tackles and five interceptions
