Where does Dallas go from here?

Postby Free Bagel » Tue Mar 09, 2004 9:37 pm

Since Canacuna deleted his :p...

All the good RB's are gone, and they need a RB.

If they lose Mario Edwards, which they probably will, that would leave them with Pete Hunter and Donald Mitchell battling it out for the #2 cb spot....not pretty. Most of the cb's are gone as well.

Who's left that Dallas might pursue? Dillon? An outside show at Bobby Taylor if Seattle can't afford him?

I was going to suggest Sam Madison if he couldn't come to terms with Miami on a restructure, but he finally agreed to terms today. With no standout players left in FA, I think most teams are gonna look towards the draft to finish what they started in FA.

I see them attacking dillon or stewart. Or they could go wild and get hearst :-)
my bet would be mostly on dillon. who knows, whacky things are happening this offseason.

I worded mine wrong and didn't take the time to do it again - It wasn't worthy. This thread r0x0rs s0x0rz now that you did it right, though. ;-)

Teehee.

Anyway, Dallas probably made a mistake by waiting to make a move in free agency. If they go into 2004 with Quincy Carter and Troy Hambrick as major components of the offense, the Cowboys are screwed.

Parcells may very well be the best coach in all of football, but Quincy Carter won't win a superbowl throwing 2 INTs for every TD pass, and Troy Hambrick isn't all that great for a backup RB. No amount of coaching can make up for that, however if coach Parcells thinks those guys are good enough, I think the Eagles should talk trades, we got these two guys, Thrash and Pinkston... }:-)

We can hand over Couch and James Jackson. We won't be needing them anymore. :-)

How bout a trade? Those two for a 5th rnd pick and a Dozen Donuts? ;-)
