Trading fantasy draft picks

I was thinking that if I get a high draft pick this year I might consider trading it. However, I've never traded draft picks before and was trying to think of how you do that so it seems fair and yet you don't screw yourself out of the value of dropping from 2nd pick to 7th or 8th say.

Can anyone provide some insight who has done this as to what picks you traded and what you got in return?

Usually you do so in pairs. If you swap first round picks, swap 2nd rounders as well so you'd move up in the 2nd.

that's how i've always done it too. it works out pretty fairly for both teams.

Of course it has to be a serpentine draft for that to work

not always...doing that in a blind random draft is always fun too! hehehe
