Philly's defense will be fine. Obviously it won't be like 2 years ago with Hugh Douglas, Trotter, Bishop, and a healthy secondary,s but then again it wasn't last year either.

The main guys they're losing (Vincent and Taylor) missed most of the year anyway. They've added a pass rusher, and the two corners they'll have starting (Brown and Sheppard) are good young DB's and have another year of experience under their belts.

the defense certainly wasn't world beating last year, but here is a little fun fact, they were seventh in points allowed -- ultimately the most important defensive stat. And that was with tons of injuries. The defense certainly did its job in the championship, it was the offense that faltered.

Signing kearnse and dhani jones should help, not to mention guys coming back from injury, having dawkins for a full season, and the corners having a little more seasoning.

D is not the problem with this team, neither is QB or RB. WR is next on the list and the eagles have the dough to fix it.

Actually I think the date is now Tuesday for a decision. The NFL had better be careful, afterall what we're talking about is a player deciding he doesn't like where he was traded to. If they rule that he can go to the Eagles instead, what is to stop other players from raising a stink whenever they don't get traded to the team they wanted?
It blows my mind that it has gotten this far, another sign of a gutless commissioner in sports. Where is the dork Commish? He should step up and say"You're a Raven now, shut up and play ball" Rules are rules and he didn't follow them.

apparently, it is a done deal. new deal worked out -- defensive starter to the niners formt he eagles, fifth round pick from the eagles and their orginal second round pick returned to the ravens,
and owens to philly.
