The offensive tackle signed a six-year contract with the Bears on Friday after his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, declined to match an offer sheet he got from Chicago a week ago.

Tait was designated a transition player by the Chiefs before the March 3 start of free agency. He then got a six-year, $33 million offer from the Bears that reports say includes a $14 million bonus.

Priest Holmes drops about ten spots in the rankings for me, and both components to the A-Train/Thomas Jones combo shoots into the top ten! ;-7

...Uh, yeah. Good move by Chicago, methinks.

Definitely helps Chicago, lotta $$$ for an O-lineman though.
So you're saying that you will now be thinking of drafting Thomas or Jones ahead of the Priest? Surely you jest! Or will we be changing you name to Canagasfumes?

As a KC fan this stinks, but Brett Williams/Chris Bober should help. I honestly think KC should have spentthe money on Bober and used it on Defensive help......cuz from what I hear Brett Williams was a steal in the draft last year...he could have been a late first round pick.

I dont know if this hurts KC as much as ppl think.

And now KC has some money to play with on this years cap.

good move for chicago.
A much needed improvement for CHI. I a gree Jones/AT's value goes up and priests goes down slightly.
