Alameda, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Raiders signed former All-Pro linebacker Dwayne Rudd to a free agent contract on Saturday.
The 28-year-old Rudd started two games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. Prior to last year, he spent two seasons with the Cleveland Browns, and spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings, who drafted him in the first round in 1997.
"We're pleased to add a veteran of Dwayne's talents," said Oakland head coach Norv Turner. "He is an athletic, productive performer and we look forward to having Dwayne make a contribution to the Raiders in 2004."
Rudd, an All-Pro selection after the 1998 season, has played in 109 NFL games -- starting 79 -- in seven NFL campaigns.
