David Boston now falls between Justin McCariens and Tai Streets as the top sleeper picks of 2004 so far, imo. I'm more comfortable putting McCariens a little higher in my draft; he'll have a top 10 quarterback throwing to him (Chad Pennington) as well as a top 10 WR in Santana Moss to draw the double-teams and heavy coverage away from him. Miami has a 3rd string backup quarterback assuming a starting role as well as big questions about the offensive line. Still, if everything gels, defenses are going to have a tough time defending against Ricky Williams, Chris Chambers, Randy McMichaels AND David Boston, and we could see a nice fantasy output for Boston in 2004!!!

...This deal only makes San Diego worse off than they already were. Does this mean that they'll be taking Larry Fitzgerald or Mike Williams with their pick?

Yes, Boston will be on a team that will compete for the playoffs.
Yes, he will have not only a solid WR opposite of him to draw coverage away, but a TE and a running game as well.
However, this IS Dave Wannstedt we're talking about. And you can only trust Jay Feely as far as you can throw him.
Boston is still a commodity in FF. And I'd love to have him on my team. But there will be plenty of players I'll draft for my 2WR before him with less question marks going into next season.

Only 3 leagues this year. No sense in rooting for everyone in the NFL.
Jesus, nice job Miami. After the AJ incident, and lack of an O-Line i was very worried about them, but ending up with Feeley and Boston for a 2nd and a 6th rd pick and a player to be named later, they ended up on the winning side in my opinion. Not to mention they got him at a very cheap base salary and leaves some good money to get some more free agents. GO AFTER SALAAM PLEASE!!!
On the other side, wtf are the Chargers going to do? They now have needs at WR, QB and O-line. Are they going to take Fitzgerald, Manning or Gallery or trade down?
Talk about a steal. SD is hopeless. This also downgrades LT I think as well, as now they officially have no QB and no one to throw the ball to, well, except for LT again. Maybe he'll get 200 receptions this year.
And the SD passing game just got worse...
They now better draft a QB or WR just to make an uprade in passing. Now Feely has some nice weapons though The only thing I can think that wouldve made SD do this is injuries...
