Dolphins sign Terrence Wilkins

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Dolphins Tuesday signed wide receiver-kick returner Terrence Wilkins to a one-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wilkins, who was an unrestricted free agent, spent the first seven games last year with Indianapolis. He was released by Carolina prior to the start of last year and re-signed with the Colts on November 10, 2003. Wilkins had spent the first three seasons of his NFL career with the Colts.

For his career, which also includes a stint with the St. Louis Rams, Wilkins has hauled in 124 receptions for 1,497 yards with seven touchdowns. He also has racked up three career special teams touchdowns (one kick, two punt).
