Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - Former University of Florida kicker Jeff Chandler signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Chandler, who played part of last season with the San Francisco 49ers, will compete with incumbent Jaguars kicker Seth Marler, who converted just 20-of-33 kicks in 2003.

The 24-year-old Chandler missed a potential game-winning kick in overtime against the St. Louis Rams and was waived just days after.

Chandler is the all-time leading scorer for Florida, posting a total of 368 points in his collegiate career.

I'm a huge Gator, and I've been rooting for the Jags as well for the past couple seasons. Chandler is a good addition, and he is certainly alot better than Marler.
