Davie, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Dolphins Tuesday re-signed punter Matt Turk to a three-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Turk, 35, was signed by Miami three games into the 2003 season and averaged 38.7 yards per punt on 68 attempts. He also put 23 punts inside the 20-yard line and had only seven touchbacks.
Turk has also played for Washington and the New York Jets during his career, which spans nine seasons. He has a 42.5-yard average on 692 career punts.
Miami also re-signed tight end/long snapper Ed Perry to a one-year contract. Perry missed all of 2003 after sustaining tears of the anterior cruciate ligament and medial and lateral menisci in his left knee.
