The greatest of today? Certainly. Much props to Moss for his work. All-time? Not yet, and even he might be humble enough to say so.
In addition, it isn't enough to hold the records. I mean, Charlie Joyner and Steve Largent were the two men to hold the career receiving record before Rice, I believe, and I never considered either of them...

How do you define "best"?
The thing about this thread though is that Rice is the best ever. It's as simple as that. THere's not much to talk about. I am a homer so I would say that Chris Carter was the best but even I know it's not true. Does anybody really think that Rice is not the best ever?
Rice's numbers are impressive. But there has GOT to be acknowledgement that he had 2 hall of fame QBs throwing to him AND another QB that has the 4th highest QB rating of all time.
If it wasn't the QB helping, it was Bill Walsh and his WCO.
