The latest rumors in DC have two possible draft day scenarios playing out:
(1) The 'Skins trade Chris Samuels and the #5 overall to the Raiders for the #2 overall (which they in turn would use to draft Gallery).
(2) The 'Skins trade Chris Samuels, Patrick Ramsey and the #5 overall to the Chargers for the #1 overall (which they in turn would use to draft Eli Manning).
Ya gotta hand it to the Danny. They don't do much during the season, but the offseason sure is a lot of fun.
The trade with the Raiders was reported this morning. It would give the 'Skins some cap relief since Samuels has to date been unwilling to redo his contract to make it more cap-friendly.
but i cant believe it the gallery one seems to be true. i personally dont like it. #5 and samuels is WAY too much. i was thikning samuels and gardner or samuels and a 5th round pick. i really hope they dont give up the #5.

I agree on both counts. The Manning thing is pure fiction I suspect. Unfortunately, the Samuels' one seems to have some validity.
Trading the #5 and Samuels is WAY too much for Gallery. He may turn out to be a stud, but I have two words of caution: Tony Mandarich.
Samuels and #5 is too muich I agree, Gallery would be anice addition, though. He would, as was stated, give them cap relief, while adding young talent to the O-line.
Id like to see them screw up though

terpfan wrote:this is BS, there is no way we can trade samuels, the cap hit would be ENORMOUS. besides, what would we want the #2 pick for anyway? and how is samuels or ramsey worth giving up to move up 3 spots?
oh yeah, and this.

whoever posted this one was on something. he must have misunderstood the #5 pick as being a fifth round pick. no way that one would ever happen. [/quote]
