I'd be surprised if there are any trades until closer to the actual draft. With a slew of teams willing to move up and down for the handful of immediate-starter players, nobody's going to want to make the first move up in position, only to get leap-frogged by the next.

True, but it's gonna get wild. Should be the most active and memorable draft in recent history.

The problem with this for NY is that if they draft a QB, they pretty much have to start him instantly, which hasn't been a great idea in the past. You know they don't want "the Bachelor" QBing the team.

Another player mentioned in the deal between NY and San Diego has been Ike Hilliard. If San Diego were able to get Collins, Hilliard and the #4 pick for it's #1 that sure sounds like it would help the team much more, in the short term at least, than just getting Eli Manning. Whatever deal goes down, San Diego should make out big time in this draft.

I'd take the trade down to #4, then trade down again to no less than #10, stockpile picks and veterans, pick Philip Rivers, add a TE, another WR, then start beefing up the line for LT.

Well, the Giants have admittedly gone into rebuilding mode, Collins is not part of this plan. If they do make this move, Eli looks to be their man to build around, and he will be thrown into the NFL fire year one, rookie or not.

I've also read somewhere that Strahan could be involved in the trade as well.

All of this is speculation of course, but the closer and closer we get to the draft, the more and more that pick is worth. This really is going to be the most exciting draft and SD and OAK should end up with some very good compensation for their picks.
