Madden tournament for PS2 here at the cafe, interested?

Well you can actually set up tournaments using EA online in Madden...

I'd join if we're doing it like that, assuming we'd be playing on all-madden. I'm not even gonna bother with all-pro...

Bagel, Badger and I play on all madden on a regular basis...unfortunately, I doubt many others do (joe probably does)...

To kind of level the playing field, we'd have to go all-pro...unless we wanted to have a vote, or everyone else agreed to bump up to all madden.

What do you mean you don't get it? You do it the same way you would play against a friend at your house, but with a phone line and network adapter.

I'm sure you can but you'll need two extra things, an internet connection (broadband would work better) and a network adapter. The network adapter will run around $40 and once you have that you can play as much as you want for free. You also will need a PS2 and Madden 04 but I'm assuming you already have those.

You have to buy the PS2 internet adapter, which you should be able to buy from wherever you got your PS2 and plug it in to the back of it. There is a network plug-in or a regular modem plug-in on the adapter. Playing with a modem is not as fun because there is serious lag, but fast internet connection (like cable or dsl) is pretty much as fast as playing against the CPU.
