This is a great deal for the Chargers. Phillip Rivers looked like a great QB in college and unless his unorthodox delivery becomes a problem (I don't see how it would) in the NFL, I think he can be a quality starter for them in the future (although I think I'm one of the few who hasn't given up on Brees, yet). And the Giants probably won't get much better anytime soon playing in that division (and neither will the Chargers due to their all-around suckiness), so they could wind up with two top ten picks next year.

...As for the Giants...

...Eli Manning had better become the next Peyton Manning...

I'm sick of the "could have had Vick" comment. I don't think they lost out by getting LT2. Not only did they get LT2 they got whatever else in the trade for the pick. On top of that Vick missed nearly all of last season and then got hurt again in the end. If you ask me the Chargers got the better end of that deal by a longshot so far.

In total agreement. All these articles that came out before the draft mentioning the trade up Atlanta did to take Vick at #1 had me thinking the Chargers comitted highway robbery. Seeing how Vick has yet to even throw higher than 55% accuracy, I'd much rather have a few extra picks and LT on my team in the NFL (he's just a bit better fantasy-wise).
