Winner and Losers on 1st draft day

Not really sure how Dallas can be a loser in this draft for the reasons mentioned. They obviously don't think they will be SB champs this year so they traded their picks for a pretty good package. I'm willing to bet the Bills don't have a very good season next year. The Cowboys would then have gotten a higher first rounder plus an extra 2nd and 5th for nothing. Not a bad deal. Of course I'm not sure about this guy they drafted. Doesn't seem to fit what Parcells normally likes. But I'd have to say I trust Parcells so lets see what happens. If Jones can play ball this is a GREAT day in Cowboys land....It's definately a wait and see.

Best day is a toss up between Detroit and SD. I can't believe how much SD got out of NYG. They get the player they want plaus a truck load of picks. GREAT TRADE. Detroit getting Jones and Williams....Happiest man on earth right now? Joey Harrington.

Ben Troupe, Antwan Odom, and Randy Starks.

Seattle filled some needs in the draft - nothing spectacular, but solid nonetheless.

How could detroit not have had the best day, they got a great weapon, i mean 2 weapons on offense, to go wit da 2 they had last year wit rogers and harrington, dis offense should be fun to watch for years to come, and might even compete

They didn't get Harrington and Rogers in the same draft. Rogers was last year and Harrington in 2002. But I agree they had the best draft.

Winners:
1. Chargers- Ripped off the giants disgusting.
2. Lions- same as a above, just did it to the browns instead.
3. Cards- Good draft with fitz, dansby, and dockett


Losers:
1. Giants- just gave to much
2. Browns- Has too many needs to give another team a high 2nd rounder.
3. Chiefs- did they pick anyone who will have a impact next year?...seem like they just add alot of depth.

I've got to say, I think my home town team screwed the pooch today...maybe it's just anticlimactic, with all the free agent hoopla surrounding Kearse and Owens last month, but I don't understand why Philadelphia wrangled up to take an OL who may have health issues, especially with D.J. Williams still available. IMO, the Iggles had more pressing needs.
Like most others, I really like what the Lions did...Harrington's looking solid as a backup for this year, and a potential keeper down the line.
