as you may recall last years was onterrio smith in the fourth. well this years is...
Will Poole, cb USC. taken in the 4th round by the dolphin. I watched most SC games last season and trust me this guy is an absolute stud. should have gone first round.

Without a doubt, the steal of the draft was Ben Roethlisberger... I know he went early on, but with all of the Manning / Rivers drama, I think Pittsburgh ended up getting the best QB available in the draft, at number 11... That's unheard of... Did you see the bigass grin on Bill Cowher's face after that pick? There was good reason...
Yeah, and him, too... Hell yeah... Yes, he did have his off the field problems at FSU, but who doesn't? Pete Warrick, Laveraneous Coles, Marvin Jones, Randy Moss, Sebastian Janikowski, etc... etc...
Dockett is a STUD...
The only reason, I think, he went so low is that at the ProDay, here at FSU, he injured a hamstring during the agility drill (first drill), and didn't do any of the other tests... Coaches and scouts probably frowned on that...
I agree that Big Ben was the steal of the draft. IMO, he was the best quarterback available in the draft, and getting him at #11 was robbery! Especially after seeing all that NY gave up to get Eli, when they could have taken Ben without giving up all those picks.
I thought there were a lot of steals in this draft so I'll list some guys that i thought were steals, in no particular order..
Ben Roethlisberger
Ben Troupe
Darnell Dockett
Matt Ware
Chris Gamble
Will Poole (Can't see how the likes of Joey Thomas, Keith Smith and Colclough went before him)
Randy Starks
Isaac Sopoaga
Greg Brooks (you'll see when you see him play)
Jason Shivers
and possibly...
Derrick Strait
Chad Lavalais
