I need me some FFL advice

Postby joe_montana » Thu Sep 05, 2002 11:12 pm

This is my first team, first year, and I need some help. Here is my roster
* means starter

Griese, Brian DEN*
Williams, Ricky MIA*
Faulk, Marshall STL*
Moulds, Eric BUF*
Johnson, Keyshawn TB*
Johnson, Eric SF*
Feely, Jay ATL*
Patriots NE*
Carter, Quincy DAL
Barlow, Kevan SF
Bettis, Jerome PIT
Nedney, Joe TEN PHI
Browns

I am stacked at RB, and I would love to make a trade to upgrade my QB. I think Griese should have a good year, but I would love to have Aaron Brooks, Donavan Mcnabb, or someone like that. I don't really want to give up Williams, and Faulk is off the table, but is there a way I could package the bus or Barlow + Griese for a good Q? If not, what would I have to offer? Also I wouldn't mind helping my WR's, but that is not as important.

I don't think many owners like to part with a top QB like McNabb, but if Brooks or McNabb are on a team that has another topflight Qb you might have a chance, or try to find an owner that likes the Broncos

Barlow and Griese for one of those is a very good offer, and you'd still have Bettis on the bench for bye weeks. You should also cnsider dropping backup K or DT for a pickup at WR or RB

i think that packaging barlow with a QB to upgrade is a pretty good idea because bettis has a week 3 bye so he will be available all season barring injury also your RB are very good

id also look into getting a better WR for backup purposes see which FA are out there still....... drop your extra kicker to make space for the WR aquisition and then id say youd be pretty much set

Thanks for the advice. As soon as I can I will pick up a free agent WR or 2, and maybe another RB. I sure hope I can pull of the Griese trade.
