Maddox isnt done

Postby STEELtownUSA » Wed Apr 28, 2004 6:24 pm

Last season was not Tommy Maddox's fault. No quarterback (with the exception of maybe vick) could have success with the o-line that he had. It wasnt just bad, it was a joke. I dont care who you put in there, without any time to throw you cant throw a good ball. The solution is not a new quarterback, it is a new line, although I realize that he is getting old, the Steelers should be working to sign free agent lineman, and forget about replacing maddox, for now. Therefore all of the Maddox bashers dont be so quick to send him out of the NFL, becasue with a decent line Tommy Gun can kill defenses.

As a Steeler fan, I would love to see him do that. But with the drafting of Starks, I bet hell start. We dont have the money to sign a OT. Our problem was injuries, we are OK now except T, where we have filled. I look for a better year from the O-Line. But even with that, Maddox wont be great, he will be decent. We need a young frnachise QB, hich we have in Big Ben, another year or two of Maddox and let Ben go. Maddox is a good passer I agree, but theres more to it than just that...
