Still a ways to go to catch the combined total of the two James Thrash threads (28+16=44).

...Sad in both circumstances...

At least June cuts are coming in about a month. :-D

you guys are r gonna hate me for continuing this but here's my question.
2 seasons ago Zereoue had a few nice games in which he started in place of Bettis. To me he looked quick, agile not to mention decent hands.
Before last season, he was rated, on most boards, a top 25 rb.
I know that wasn't enough to prove his worth, but I understand that Pittsburgh had some major problems with their O- line all last season.
Was this the major contributor to Amos' downfall?
Or does he flat out 'suck', which appears to be the consensus?

If he does suck, tell me why and don't say it's his size.

You know what's even sadder? The total of the two Trash threads are 4 posts short from his reception total last year, and blow away his yards/game last year.

I believe I speak for all Eagles fans when I say, good riddance!

I think his main problem is his size... hes one of the stongest backs in the league but hes only 5'8 and I dont think he can stanfd up to a full seasons work... if you notcied after those first two games he played well in he completely fell off... If theres another problem with him id have to say its his patience/ vision... he hits the "hole" too hard when there really isnt one there.

did his production "fall off" because of the offensive line?
Remember, Bettis had the same ypc.

I don't have the opportunity to watch many Steeler games, but when I saw him two years ago, he looked decent enough. Last year though, I didn't like what I saw - I don't remember exactly what is was (although it's probably similar as to what TheHeat24 mentioned), but he just didn't look the same. However, I 'spose that could be attributed to a poor offensive line.

Anyway, doesn't Norv Turner tend to go with a bruising kind of RB, ala Tyrone Wheatley? He's definitely not young, but I've been impressed by his play whenever he's received the majority of the carries in Oakland (I remember when the Seahawks were still in the AFC, he ran over everyone like they were nothing).

Bettis is aging... so if amos cant beat the bus when the wheels are falling off he obviously is not very good.

that is a good point. But I just want to avoid throwing Amos in the Fantasy Dumpster for the wrong reasons.

I was rather shocked to see Zereoue not on the Steelers for this coming season. I think it is a good fit for the Raiders as he could be used for a third down back and maybe take some of the rushing plays as the featured back. Still suprised to see Bettis still there as well.
