First of all, I would never take Vick unless he fell way beyond where he's projected, I was just explaining the reasoning others had behind it. Second, re-read the post dude, because you seem to have completely missed it. Nowhere did I say to PICK Vick in the top 7...

DO YOU WANT TO BE KNOWN AS THE GUY TO PASS UP VICK WHEN HE REACHES HIS POTENTIAL AND GOES FOR 3500 AND 1000?
Even though I agree with you, I'll play Devil's Advocate. You also don't want to be the guy who picks Vick in the top 5 overall and he then gets injured in preseason.

Good Call... there is no way anyone should take him that early.

You said most people project him as a top 7 pick....or something along those lines. And I said if he gets picked top 7 I'll laugh all the way to the championship. But I understand what you meant. You were saying if someone can get him in the 2nd or 3rd round and he performs like a top 7 pick then their team will be money. But in reality I'd like to see the top guys Vick may outperform. He's top 3 in the QB rankings at best. Top 7 overall is ridiculous and I don't think anyone would argue he is.
I will eat my jock if Vick ever Passes for 3500 and rushes for 1000 in the same season. It wont happen. Your on the Vick hype machine. First stop? The PUP list.
My top 7:
1: LT
2: Priest
3: Green
4: Portis
5: Duece
6: Lewis
7: Ricky
Thats just quickly off the top of my head. I'm sure I may have missed one or two guys...say like Alexander. But I'd take them all over Vick. Not to mention the QBs I have ranked ahead of him, Manning,Culpepper, and McNabb.
And by the way, You can save this post. If Vick ever does what you say he can I'll put pictures up of me eating my jock.
So they weren't the best...and may have ended the worst. SO WHAT!

No, I didn't at all....seriously man, re-read the post, because you missed the point of it entirely...

First - no one is saying Vick is a top 7 pick. I say it is possible he could be the 3rd or 4th best QB - which places him in the 3rd rd in my book.
Second - and this is more important for me to get across - your statement about past performance being the best indicator of future perfomance is extremely wrong. This is a common misconception used in many aspects of our lives. Fundamental analysis of the current situation and future prospects is the best indicator for future performance. Just like the stock market, chasing trends is the easiest and most common way to fail.
