For me it came down to Parcells, Bellicheck, and Vermeil.
I ruled out Bellicheck because the other two have one thing he doesn't, they've showed they can take crappy teams and turn them into legitimate contenders multiple times. Bellicheck is a great coach, but I'd be interested to see if he could go to a team like the Chargers and turn them into a super bowl contender in 2-3 years, whereas I have complete faith that the other two could do it. Bellicheck might just be the kind of guy that in the right situation really really excells, whereas I feel like the hiring of JUST Parcells or Vermeil immediately makes that team a contender.
Now that I think about it, I'm really torn between Parcells and Vermeil. They've both taken several AWFUL teams and turned them into great teams quickly.
These are guys I like as coaches and also have great coaching abilities:
John Fox: when you talk about genius this guy knows defense
Jeff Fisher: His teams are tougher than any others in the league
Herman Edwards: Great Motivator
I couldnt bring myself to say belichek or parcells even tho they are great coaches i hate them both.

He coaches a great game every time. I would call him the best at this point. You can't say him name without Parcells though since he was one of his assistants in New York.
One of my friends added this guy. Although he comes off like a jerk, Brian Billick does a good job in playing to his strengths and getting the job done. A win is a win!
Bill Walsh was the man, and a lot of good coaches have come from his tree. But I don't think any of them are "best of the best" status.
