Taylor to lose goalline carries (again)

Fanball wrote:Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio has more in mind for rookie running back Greg Jones than simply having him be Fred Taylor's backup. Del Rio told the Florida Times-Union that he plans to use Jones in a similar fashion to the way the Buccaneers utilize fullback Mike Alstott. "Considering [Alstott] always goes to the Pro Bowl, that sounds good to me," Jones said.

OUR VIEW
The Buccaneers use Alstott to carry the ball on short-yardage and goal-line situations, as well as a blocking fullback and a receiver out of the backfield. If, as suggested, the 250-pound rookie takes over the goal-line touches, it both gives Jones good value and decreases Taylor's worth. Fantasy owners will recall the 2002 season when Jaguars backup runner Stacey Mack notched nine scores as the goal line back. Taylor still managed eight touchdowns, but Stacey's role clearly kept Fred from reaching an elite level.

Taylor just can't seem to catch a break.

That really sucks for Fred.

Over the years I've usually stayed away from him due to his injury risk, but I was a bit higher on him this year. Time to drop him a little.

I was really hoping he'd be up in the upper rankings for me, now he must fall a bit :,-( IT makes me sad, but atleast I dont have him in any leagues as my #1 :-?

Eh...

I want to keep Fragile Freddy at #9 in my RB rankings, despite the potential for some Greg Jones' TD vulturism - but I 'spose I finally have to concede to Edgerrin James... Ergh... (not a fan of Edge).

Might? If he was your No. 1 RB to begin with you got problems.

Not really Fred was going around 10-11 in most drafts, in leagues with 12+ teams that would mean he was your #1 back.
