i posted this down in the Browns forum yesterday. Green still needs to prove something to the team and Davis before anything will happen. coming into the mini-camp in shape and clean/healthy is a good start. i hope he'll stay that way because of his potential, but I still think Suggs is the best RB Cleveland has right now.
Ill definitely use a late flier on Green this yr. The potential he showed to become a top rated RB coming out of college is just barely beneath the surface. On talent alone you have to give the nod to Green.
People forget that Suggs was a projected first rounder as well until the shoulder injury right before the draft. I think Suggs' ability to find the endzone makes him the better choice over Green. However, I suspect there will be no true winner of the RB job in Cleveland and it will turn into a RBBC.

It is a personal victory because it was Davis that decided to draft Green over th Miami runningback he knew... which would turn out to be Clinton Portis

And I have a feeling Davis is stubborn enough to force Green in the lineup even if Suggs is the better option. He has taken a lot of heat for passing on Portis and desperatly wants to prove Green is the better back. I even heard rumors last year that Davis wanted Green to move in with him to help clean up and improve the kid's attitude. That could be interesting...and if it happened, you know FOX would tmake it into some horrible reality tv show.

I'd have rather watched a Mark Cuban/Dennis Rodman reality show.
...and I agree that Davis is stubborn and would give any excuse to play William Green over Lee Suggs.

Lee Suggs is great... I think a lot of teams really overlooked him, before he tore his acl he had already lead the ncaa in rushing and he still only goes 4th round... Even Tony Holligns who didnt ecven have a full year at RB got drafted with a second round pick...
i believe they should look into suggs, green had his chance last year and was outplayed by jj (james jackson) had more rushing tds after playing like two games, (2 i think) i really thought green would have been a solid rb this year, but like many players they always seem to disapoint (drew brees..) thats why i have given up on this chump, he doesnt have the balls to run hard, and i cant respect his game.
