Starting lineup dilemma - Garner or Portis?

Postby Seattle Fantasy » Fri Sep 06, 2002 1:27 am

Ok, I'm trying to figure out who I'm going to start at my WR/RB optional position this week. I have until Sunday a.m. to figure this out, but some advice would be great.

Manning QB
Tomlinson RB
F. Taylor RB
R. Moss WR
D. Boston WR
R. Smith WR/RB optional
??? WR/RB optional

D. Sloan TE
Wilkens K
Chicago Def

Here's my bench - Portis, James Stewart, Charlie Garner, Derrick Mason and Stacy Mack

I'm leaning towards Garner - but what do you think? 7 person league.

I wouldn't use Portis before he actually gains the starting job or gets major carries. Garner or maybe Stewart are your best choices

They really are not good choices in week 1. Portis will win the starting job, but it looks like it's Gary's for week 1. It could be KaRon Coleman carrying the ball, Mike Shannahan is crazy like. The nice guys at ESPN insider gave me that one. 8-o
