ESPN.com wrote:Former NFL running back Thurman Thomas was arrested over the weekend and charged with marijuana possession, according to police.
Thomas, who was in town to play in a charity golf tournament, was arrested at the Grand Hotel around 2 a.m. Saturday. He had one partially smoked marijuana cigarette in his possession and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or marijuana, Fairhope police spokesman Cpl. Craig Sawyer said Monday.
Thomas did not immediately return a phone call from The Associated Press Monday. His wife, Patti, said her husband was "caught up in an uncomfortable situation with a couple of his buddies."
"Basically, what he has said was some other guys were with him and because it was near his room, he got caught up in it," Patti Thomas said. "He's not claiming any responsibility for it."
Thomas, 37, was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor reserved for people who have the drug for personal use.
Thomas was booked at Fairhope City Jail and was released in time to play his round of golf Saturday morning.
"There was no disorderly conduct or belligerent behavior, and he did not resist arrest," Fairhope police Cpl. Craig Sawyer Monday.

I thought about it, but realized, I didn't really care.

Shut the F'-up Thurman, pay your fine and move on. I really could care less if a retired NFL player wants to whoop it up with his buddies, have some drinks, and smoke a little hooch. Not the most mature, but so what? Hey, enjoy yourself; but be willing to honestly deal with the consequences.

This is the same guy who couldn't start in a SB game because he forgot his helmet, right? Well I guess we now know how that happened. At least he made his tee time, so his priorities are in order.

Yeah, I did, but I decided since it had little to do with fantasy football I'd put it in the Bills forum where it could get lost amongst other more important things
