If your team was relying on Hambrick for anything but laughs, you deserved to get messed up. :-)

Hambrick might as well get use to cold weather the Cfl is always looking for NFL scraps.

What is the average league salary for backup RBs?

Im actually a bit suprised they didnt hold onto Hambrick as a backup. I know he was simply bad, but to cut a RB who is familiar with the offense and who you are already paying basically the minimum for (Im guessing that $628,000 would be considered a pretty low salary), why not keep him around? What am I missing?

I hate to quote myself - but seriously, I would like some insight into why they cut him other than "he is bad". Its not like they are making the cut for salary cap implications was it? Can they find a backup RB for cheaper? Has Parcells said anything about WHY they cut him? And is Avion Cason seriously their only backup to the rook? There is more to this story than what we are talking about on this thread, and as much as I appreciate the humor put forth, I would appreciate even more some logical explanations.
Anyone?

From what I gathered Hambrick became incredibly unhappy with his situation after they drafted Julius Jones. Hambrick's agents then called the team asking for his client's release so he could have time to pursue other teams for a possible job, although it will be likely that any offers will be as a backup.
