ESPN.com wrote:PHOENIX -- A man was arrested for allegedly impersonating San Francisco 49ers' player Brandon Whiting and trying to buy homes in his name.
Darryl Brandon Nolan was arrested Tuesday and charged with forgery, attempted fraudulent schemes and artifices, and taking another's identity, said Andrea Esquer, a spokeswoman for the Attorney General's office.
Another charge was added after he allegedly intentionally used his father's name rather than his own during an initial court appearance.
Nolan allegedly tried to purchase two homes using Whiting's identity and signed several documents related to the transaction, Esquer said.
She didn't know how authorities were alerted to Nolan's alleged attempt to buy the homes.
