NBC 10's (Philadelphia) Howard Eskin reported on the station's Sunday night sports show, "Sports Final," that Titans' RB Eddie George would be willing to accept a reduced role in order to play for the Eagles. George, who could be cut after June 1 had previously stated he would not be willing to accept a reduced role if cut by the Titans.
I'd take anything that Howard Eskin says with a grain of salt, that guy is a jackass. He is loathed by every Philly sports fan. I'm not even a Philly sports fan and I don't like him. However... if this were to go down, talk about a further crowded backfield in Philly.

We're talking about the same guy that has a segment called "Rumorville" on the George Michael Sports Machine every week ...I wouldn't buy it either. The dude wants to be the Mary Hart of the NFL.

While we're at it, I hear that the Eagles are looking to sign Warner and Gannon to compete with McNabb for the starting job. They've also looked at luring Bill Romanowski to Philly to help replace Carlos Emmons, and if that doesn't work expect Chuck Bednarik's phone to be ringing off the hook from the Eagle's management.
Seriously, there is no needor want to have George here. I'm sure he's a fine NFL player, and used to be one hell of a back, but if the Eagles were going to keep a veteran at the position, they would've resigned Duce Staley (who probably would've signed for a more than reasonable rate as he wanted to stay in Phllly), and in doing so kept a crowd favorite around.
it wasn't the money for duce that was necesarrily the problem, it was the amount of carries he wanted.
I am indifferent to george, but I imagine his services would come cheaper than duce's would have, and he won't have the list of demands about numbers of carries that duce had.
Bah, I don't really want Eddie here. I want Westbrook and Bucky to have more opportunities to prove themselves as feature backs, and Eddie won't help them there.
I don't know where he will be going, but I am quite sure after the comment of the Titans owner,"I am very pessimistic that he will be here",he will be gone.
