Best in Franchise History

Postby Poobah » Sat May 29, 2004 7:00 pm

Pro Football Weekly recently sifted through the annals of NFL history to develop a list of 5 candidates deemed "the best in the history of the franchise". Apparently you can vote on profootballweekly.com for the player you think is the best of the best. They will do one team a week between June 6 and Jan 15, starting with Arizona and finishing with Washington. The Ravens candidates are:

LB Peter Boulware 1997-present
RB Jamal Lewis 2000-present
LB Ray Lewis 1996-present
OT Jonathan Ogden 1996-present
DB Rod Woodson 1998-2001

I gotta disagree with you guys. Woodsan amazing shutdown corner, but ive never seen a player with more talent than Ray. He "sucks"? Iuno about that.

Ray gets mine.

Remember the Ravens are the "old Browns" so actually they should have guys on there like Ozzie Newsome, Jim Brown, Otto Graham, Bernie Kosar.

Scary that 4 guys are still active for them.

I love woodson and Lewis, I think given more time Lewis will win hands down, but right now Woodson.

Jonathan Ogden. The best offensive lineman in the past five years IMO, he's been opening gaping holes for Jamal. Woodson and Lewis are both good picks too, but Ogden needs to get some love.
