Payton, with Sayers a close second. What Sayers could've done if he hadn't ruined his knee would have been amazing.

Sweetness is my weakness

Butkus is undisputedly the greatest linebacker ever to play the game, and, at one time, personified football. Then along came Walter. It's his picture that provides the background image for the NFL channel, it's his play that led the Bears' offense on the team that is the consensus choice for "greatest team of all time". My firstborn son's name is Payton. It's tough because I never got to see Butkus play. If it wasn't for Sweetness, I doubt I'd be a football fan.

Gotta be Sir Walter "Sweetness" Payton.
